Outstanding vigilance

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM (LDWS)

This remarkable piece of equipment makes long tedious journeys on motorways or major roads so much safer. Operating at speeds over 50mph, the system detects any crossing of white lines through infra-red sensors located under the front bumper. If no indicator is being used, the driver is warned by vibrations that emanate from either the left or the right side of the driving seat, depending in which direction the drift is taking place. Corrective action can then be immediately taken to rectify the drift.

THE NEW EGS GEAR BOX

The new Electronic Gearbox System (E.G.S) brings two gearboxes together into one, to give the best of both worlds.

It gives a fast and precise manual gearbox controlled by paddles or a gear lever alongside a smooth and efficient automatic transmission. When in manual mode, the driver remains in full control of gear changes but without the hassle of clutch pedal operation. The result is dynamic and precise, yet undemanding, so the driver can experience maximum driving enjoyment with minimum effort. When the driver wishes to relax completely, they can choose the automatic mode, where the gear changes are made by the E.G.S, seamlessly and effortlessly.

The E.G.S gearbox has been developed as a completely new gearbox, cleverly designed to deliver the key benefits of a quick and smooth transmission, fuel efficiency and a reduction in emissions. The use of paddles brings important safety benefits too, as the drivers hands never have to leave the steering wheel.

Superb sounds and so much more

The quality stereo radio/CD player is located in the centre of the dashboard with an off-set display that is clearly visible from every seat. The sound system volume automatically adjusts according to the C4’s speed for an optimum listening experience.

The optional JBL Hi-fi system has been especially designed for the C4 cabin resulting in a superb madeto-measure sound performance. Its sub-woofer gives exceptional depth and quality of sound and is situated in the boot.

Working with voice-recognition technology, the Bluetooth® system means that as long as your mobile phone is compatible, you can use it easily, safely and legally.

It works by the C4 taking over the functionality of the phone. Please note that this feature is not compatible with NaviDrive.

Hands-free calls are now a cinch. Just use the controls at the base of the steering wheel (part of the optional NaviDrive) and your voice is picked up by the microphone built into the courtesy light console. And the voice-recognition system feature means you can make hands-free outbound calls too.

Whether automatic or manually operated, the airconditioning system boasts an advanced filter together with an air recycling feature. The automatic system also features dual-zone functionality so that driver and front passenger can enjoy their own temperature settings.

So you can travel in comfort without compromising your safety.
