New Citroën C4 Cactus has received the ‘Comfort Award’ at the carwow ‘Car of the Year’ Awards 2018. The ceremony was held earlier this month at the Shangri-La Hotel, The Shard in London. New C4 Cactus is the first model in Europe to be equipped with the Citroën’s new suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions™, and the first in the world to feature Advanced Comfort seats.

New Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch won the ‘Comfort Award’ at the inaugural carwow ‘Car of the Year’ Awards ceremony last night, held at the Shangri-La Hotel, The Shard in London. Karl Howkins, Managing Director of Citroën UK, was pleased to accept the prestigious award at the event.

The ‘Comfort Award’ recognises the car that delivers the best comfort, style and practicality for a reasonable price. Most importantly, New C4 Cactus Hatch was praised for its outstanding driver and passenger comfort, achieved thanks to the full integration of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme, and the world premiere of the brand’s Advanced Comfort seats.

Mat Watson, Editorial Director at carwow, commented: “No other car offers more comfort per pound than the New Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch. The combination of its sofa-like seats and clever new supple suspension glide you up the road in total relaxation.”

Karl Howkins, Citroën UK’s Managing Director, said: “It’s an honour for us to receive the ‘Comfort Award’ for New C4 Cactus. As a brand, we strive to be the leaders in comfort across the automotive industry through constant developments within our unique Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme.

“New C4 Cactus is the first model in the range that embodies all of Citroën’s comfort expertise and we look forward to extending these innovations to New Citroën C5 Aircross SUV, which will arrive in the UK at the start of next year.”

The carwow ‘Car of the Year’ Awards recognise the best cars currently available in the UK and the developments they bring to the industry through the application of new technologies. The awards were selected, and voted for, by carwow’s specialist team of in-house reviewers and writers, and were broken down into 16 different categories that ranged from ‘Innovation’ and ‘Technology’ to ‘Eco’ and ‘Style’ – and ‘Comfort’ of course.
